One morning while giving our chickens scratch a HAWK flew out of a tree and landed on the bird netting. He was a bit perplexed that he was not able to get to the baby Mechelen Turkey Head chicks After a few seconds he looked up and flew off :) Predators are after your chickens day and night. Even right in front of you! Predators are not afraid!! This is one way we try to keep our chickens safe no matter what it looks like. Our farm is not all about beauty (although that would be nice lol) it is about function and protecting our animals.
