I paint a couple cars a year, always have to recap on gun settings (at least until, if ever, I can remember) and this is my favorite video to watch. This guy knows his shit, talks quick and to the point. I appreciate that. Thanks

Just what I was looking for, short quick guidance, no 10 minutes bs tutorial of how to connect it to the hose, thanks

Some good basic tips for beginners or novices. You would want the gun to shoot out a small blob, like the gun was initially adjust for, to get into tight places. For example, I am going to shoot the inside of an old 70s truck fender, actually the bottom side of the top fender. I would need to adjust the gun to make a small blob pattern to prevent drenching the area as it is only about 5" wide. For the exterior of the vehicle you would want to adjust the gun to shoot a pattern like the wide fan pattern he showed us. Thumbs up on the demo!

Perfect. The point I needed to know was the pressure rating at the gauge static or with the trigger depressed. You nailed it. Thank you so much.

what solvent do you run through the gun to clean it? Acetone? Lacquer thinner?

I agree with rod builder - Kevin is the "Billy badass of auto body". Wish I had seen this video a week ago - before I sprayed my truck using the website air pressure recommendation of 8-10 psi. Not sure why the manufacturer would put "aircap" pressures on the website when none of us can measure that at home. Oh well, just hope that extra gallon of paint gets here soon. Thanks for all your help sorting this out Kevin - you ROCK!

What an excellent introductory educational video. No fluff in the messaging. Good logical explanations.

I was wondering about "choking the fluid". when spraying metal flake and pearls do you cut it down or leave it wide open as well? I've been doing metal flake lately with it wide open normally. but is there a different way or better way.

Very informative vid, thanks. DIYer here. Small system, not central but plenty of PSI and capacity. I have a regulator and filter at the gun. I’ve seen pics of the filter before the regulator (at the supply hose), but probably 80-90% of the time it shows the filter after the regulator just before the gun. Does it matter and if so why?thanks.

Hi! How many CFM compressor must deliver, when air consumption of spray gun is 9, 3 CFM (265L/min.)? Is there any "rule of thumb" for that..? Thank you! ☺
