It's Time To Figure This Out

With a recent investors meeting with Capcom, one storied franchise was brought up and I think it's time they figured out what to do with it and how to take it to the next level.

Mega Man made Capcom. They need to do him justice and come out with new games. Mega was always my favorite.

I wish they would turn megaman into a metroidvania. Depending on the order that you get the items, it would change the game up.

Yeah even in the NES days I didn't know anyone with every Megaman game. They always had like two random numbers between 1-6. I had 2 and I think 3. I remember thinking I wanted the title music as my funeral song lol I imagine everyone looking around feeling kind of awkward as the 8bit chip music played. Then the like 4 buddies I grew up with are just silently nodding their heads eyes closed.

With many modern titles having their budgets ballooning, I would think the Mega Man games would be a relatively low cost safe bet. Just put forth a high quality 2D platformer, and not over saturate the market like they did in the past (we went from feast to famine), and I think it will be a fruitful venture.

Let's be honest with ourselves here, Mega Man isn't going to be successful unless it breaks away from being a "retro" series. It needs to do something completely new for the series. Mega Man X9 or anything of that sort won't help the series grow.

I actually believe Capcom. They actually don't know what to do with MegaMan. There's nothing in the works. Just brainstorming.

Megaman Legends hands down. So many people have been wondering when will a Megaman Legends 3 be announced. Capcom has been having all of these collections and are dancing around and avoiding the Megaman Legends franchise, which if they wanted to garner the interest all they have to do is release a collection and they will find out. They are leaving so much money on the table by avoiding one of their most popular franchise. Marvel vs Capcom collections was definitely needed, Capcom vs SNK we're half way there with Chaos, just need Capcom vs SNK collection, finish it off with Megaman Legends, Capcom! Also give us a Powerstone collection, so many franchises man lol

The reason it doesn't sell as much as their other series is because they don't make games for it. And when they do, they're always far lower budget than their AAA titles. What do they expect? They always do well for their budget, but it's not going to make more money until they actually do something with it.

Then Mega-Man Legends.

Then make sequels: Mega-Man X9, Mega-Man 12, Mega-Man Legends 3, and another Mega-Man Battle Network game

I am DYING to see a Megaman game in the vein of Metroid Prime. It'd work so well with the Metroid Prime formula and overall a Megaman Metroidvania would be amazing.
