I think basing things off of average values is increasingly problematic when certain countries internal unequalness keeps increasing. Example: By average scores the US probably seems equal or even better than Sweden, but the lower 30% of Americans have it much MUCH worse than even the worst off in Sweden. The rich have it good anywhere so their demographic is completely irrelevant, it would be much more honest and useful to base these ratings on how the lowest 50% have it.

Brazil is definitely not a 3rd world country Brazil can afford a lifestyle that 99.999% of 3rd world countries can’t afford I’m not saying Brazil isn’t poor but most ppl have an average affordable life like any other country that isn’t a major superpower regardless of its political issues and there are some regions that are more poor than others the southern and southeastern part of Brazil are the richest and more European and the northeastern part of Brazil is the poorest and blackest so even if Brazil isn’t typically racist there is a racial divide sort off regardless if most ppl in the country are mixed me as a northeastern we get lots of racism and are often stereotyped to always be black and poor so in Brazil it just depends on where but I would never say it’s a 3rd world country there are so many African countries that see a poor country to be a luxury
