In india, believe me if you have advanced degrees it is extremely difficult to find a job, if you manage to get one somehow salary will be very less, that you'll leave the job in couple of months. Formerly poor 3rd world countries just decades ago, now categorized as Newly Industrial Countries, it is projected that 70% of its 660 million inhabitants (about 462 million) will be Middle Class by 2030.
This group will have a disposable income of about $300 billion dollars in 2030. ASEAN economic growth in 2023 was 4.6% compared to USA at 2.5%, EU at 0.8% and China at 5.4%.

For the ordinary citizen, the quality of life in china belongs to the developing country indeed. There is still a big gap in living standard between china and the developed one. However, as a nation in a whole, some developments, such as space technology, india and china have already surpassed many developed countries.
