I’m getting to that age (57) when you really start to dislike getting older but you have to look at the bright side and my bright side is that my short term memory loss isn’t such a bad thing when it comes to listening to Mr. Ballen tell his stories. I remember just enough that I know I’ve heard the story before but haven’t a clue as to how it ends.

I've had a similar experience as Simone regarding reality and my dream meshing into one and my mind not waking me up. I remember it so vividly to this day.

I was about 17, already living on my own and was asleep in bed when I started to have a bizarre nightmare, I remember the sheer terror I felt as someone forced me down into a wooden coffin, sealed it shut and started very slowly but deliberately rolling the coffin down the road with me in it Bang" I heard each time the coffin flipped over and made contact with the tarmac. Louder and louder each time, I was petrified, unable to move or escape, BANG! BANG! So loud it sounded and felt like gunshots right through me, loud like explosions around me. And it went on and on...and on. I felt like I was stuck in an endless hell and have never felt such terror....with each roll I was getting closer to an impending doom and i was helpless, unable to escape!!

Then I woke up slowly, and then all at once, still feeling like I was in the same place, and still hearing the loud bangs...WHAT THE F...?! I shouted scrambling up, but very quickly my mind started to recognize my room and the reality of the situation.... I was in bed with my window open, and someone was shooting fireworks in the street 😂😂 it scared the shit out of me and I still feel that fear when I think of it to this day, Im 32 now! Rolling in a coffin to my death achingly slowly 😢😅
