Tutorial Adding XY Data

This tutorial shows how to map coordinate data obtained from a GPS or a tabular dataset. It covers preparing an Excel table of data with coordinates and adding it to ArcGIS 10 to create a GIS layer.

Good tips but recent versions of Arcmap have gotten better at importing DMS directly. The steps you show changing DMS to DD may not be needed.
