This helped, we have a new home with large natural areas we want to look a bit more finished so we will most likely use pine straw for those and traditional mulch up front . Thanks for this, subbed, :)

Do you only have pine straw available in your area? Other straws that can be used in your garden don't have to be as acidic, like wheat or barley straw.

Natural hardwood mulch looks fantastic but with all the heavy rain we get, it floats away, even though we installed a rock border.🫤 Pine straw stays in place.
