If you did plan on having paying guests, you could provide a "picnic basket breakfast " delivered to the cottage door in the morning. Filled with homemade goodies, like your sourdough English muffins, some butter and preserves, yogurt and granola, juice and water in a beautiful glass decanter. So many options. Just a simple lovely basket, and just shoot them a text when it's delivered and they can enjoy it and put the basket back out on the porch when finished and go about their day exploring your area with happy bellies.

Your cottage is lovely, however I think an accordion door would be a better, more private option for the bathroom. I would also be very cautious about lighting the fire without moving the oversized chairs. It looks like your kids are already enjoying this delightful new space!

Perhaps you can put a two panel louvered door on your cottage bathroom. The are narrow and fold to whatever side of the door frame you choose. It all depends on which side you put the hinges for the door. I think wood louvered doors are attractive and fancy looking. Your cottage is adorable. I can see your guests enjoying sleeping out there.

Lisa, I am so enjoying watching your channel and learning so much! My husband and I love staying in places like this. Last year, we had the opportunity to enjoy 3 nights on a farm in Mulberry, TN which was owned by Jack Daniels' brother. We stayed in a tiny cottage which was the former grain house which was set up very much like yours. The owners would bring breakfast on a tray in the morning, and we spent our days happily exploring the property and visiting the animals.

You've done a fantastic job, very cosy! If it was me I think I would have not had the arm chairs to make way for more of a kitchen/dining set up downstairs with a small sink and a small wooden table and couple of dining chairs ( which could double up as a school work/crafting area for the kids). The reason I say that is because you can always read/watch programmes from a laptop in bed.

Lisa, I have watched your channel for years and am so proud that you accomplished your goal. Your cottage looks amazing. I also follow Hilary and love her style. Hi Lisa, love the cottage. You could put a piece of mirror on the back of the towel rack above the sink. It would be just enough to see what you needed to.

How about not add the tv, but have a deck of cards available, fun and quick board games and some other things like that which cause you to really enjoy your time without the need of a distraction. 😉 The little blue cottage turned out beautifully. Congrats!

with your guest book you should add a blank journal. its very cool to have people write stories of there stay there. we do that for our family cottage on our lake
