As a Dane, I don't really understand why the US made us sell half of our F16s to Argentina. While I'm very sympathetic to the Milei government, and I want to help Argentina to reintegrate with the Western bloc, I don't think they need the planes as urgently as Ukraine.

Ukraine would be far better off if this Administration hadn't dragged its feet on F-16s

I heard the first batch of pilots which had experience with Soviet jets did poorly when under pressure and resorted back to old habits. This caused a delay in overall program success. Untrained new pilots are undergoing full fledge western flight school at minimum 18+ months and 300hrs of flight before being set in a squad.
It is well known that fresh untrained pilots do better overall than pilots with thousands of hours when its a completely different platform.
Now all this would make sense as to why it has taken longer than what was said at the beginning.

As stated, two or more pilots per air craft because sorties should be running 24/7

The fact the the Ukrainians think F16's will save them is sad

I suspect that the shortage of trained F-16 pilots could be addressed in a manner similar to the The Flying Tigers, once Ukraine starts flying missions. By restricting them to missions inside of the Ukrainian controlled territories, their dubious status as combatants wouldn't really come up. Of course, in the transparent situation in Ukraine, combined with large scale intelligence operations by Moscow, Russia would know what was happening. But just like the USA didn't openly acknowledge Russia pilots fighting in the Korean and Vietnam Wars, Russia wouldn't actually do anything about it.

Always appreciate your thorough reporting - appreciate your perspective. Most of us in the US hear very little news from your part of the world.

If only the yanks started the process of sending F-16's at the beginning of the war instead of one year in. We'd be seeing F-16's in Ukrainian skies by now.

Western equipment is good, but it all has to work in a combined arms strategy, otherwise the combat doctrine doesn't work. That's what Ukraine found out last year in their offensive. Hopefully F-16's will start opening up some more offensive action.

Even though I watch so many channels daily and already know the news, I look forward to your reports. Packed with information, visuals and graphics, one of the best 👍
The news in the report is pretty good too ❤️🇺🇦🇬🇧

The issue is training openings are limited. There are other countries who had scheduled their training before Ukraine. The US might open up more training sights rather than just in Arizona. They also must learn English as the manuals and maintenance crew need to be able to understand English. Also, it normally requires 18 months of training on the F-16's which are very expensive complex jets. They require a smoother runway too. They must be hidden underground, preferably, away from bombers. All if this takes time.

Everything I've heard is that Ukraine is not yet ready to house, base, and maintain F-16s yet, and that is the key delay. Yet this video says that the US is "slow-rolling" the process of Ukraine getting these airframes. So which is it?

Ahhh, those wonder weapons. Those wonderful weapons. Good luck on making this video age well. Also congratulations on this channel never ever getting demonetized.

The French promise to train 26 pilots by the end of the year is about training pilots for the Mirage 2000. The video is about pilots for F-16. France has no capability to train pilots for a plane they don't even use. I think this should have been made clear in the video.
