2020 Subaru Outback XT Acceleration

So I traded the STI in on the new 2020 Subaru Outback XT Onyx Edition. Absolutely loving it.

Here’s a little ~10 to ~70MPH pull, I’ll have legitimate launch videos and 0-60’s coming soon.

Also going to post some videos with the mufflers deleted to see what we can expect with de-muffled axleback exhaust!

Try launch mode by brake torque the engine.

I can't wait to see what COBB and other tuners do with this. Obviously it will be limited by the CVT but my 2015 FXT with Stage 1 was noticeably faster than stock. Take into account the stock tune these cars run is 87 octane rated, imagine what a 93 octane specific tune alone would do for this car!

Hey man, nice pull there. I own an STI and totally love the car aside from the low mpg. I’ve been eyeballing a similar outback xt, but not sure if I’ll be able to enjoy the CVT in a long term run. The cvt in these outbacks is a high torque version, is it THAT unbearable compared to the manual on a turbo Subaru? Thanks!

I hate the simulated shifts. There isn't even one until 40 mph and then one more at 60 mph. It's super fake. It would just be quicker without them.
