I lived in Libya pre civil war. It was a nice country and the people enjoyed free electricity, health care and education. Then america decided to liberate it with freedom bombs and infiltrated it with extremists.

Libya is such a beautiful place. I live in the neighboring country of Algeria, and I've got to admit, we hear almost nothing about it other than war comparing to other neighbors such as Tunisia and Morocco. Hopefully the situation gets better as soon as possible

I worked there in the oilfields from year 2000 for 3 years just after the trade embargo was lifted. Nice people, beaches and weather, plus the most fantastic juicy oranges 🍊 in winter!

Libya under Gaddafi was the best nation in North Africa and now it's the worst. Libya will NEVER return to that pre-2011 greatness in our lifetimes. I frankly see no point in going to that open air slave market of a country.
