This is a car that you can buy used and not have to worry about surprise repairs every weekend. In March of last year I've transitioned from a merc into an infiniti and haven't paid a dime on anything else but gas and routine maintainence. I imagine that this Lexus will chart two bills on its odometer(at least) before anything needs fixing.

I would take a lexus over BMW or benz any day! those things are a money pit, Lexus reliability is legendary!

The "right kind of people" do buy the car...smart people. I've owned the German "best" and the Lexus LS. I'll never return to shoddy German "engineering" and quality control.

People have to realise that German cars are good for the motoring journalists. When all is said and done your luxury vehicle is no longer luxury when you have to repair it. With a Japanese car you maintain the car not repair it. Being stranded is no fun.
