Approach to Hypocalcemia

Mild hypocalcemia may be asymptomatic .Severe hypocalcemia in children causes tetany with triad of Carpopedal spasm,stridor and Convulsions,In adults,Stridor and Convulsions don't occur but Carpopedal spasm in association with paraesthesia of hands and feet and circumoral region is common.
