Great video, amazing how many lovely pubs closed in such a short amount of time, i remember having a lock-in in the princess royal for the Mayweather/hatton boxing match with some of the friendliest, drunkest locals I've ever met.

Lived in the area in the late 90s so spent a lot of time in the pubs. I remember a spot called Chumleys about halfway down the Broadway, close to an O'Neills. Also I seem to remember the Hand & Racket closed and was renamed then that closed and it reopened again as the H&R.

And the White Hart by the tram crossing. Also the Nag's Head just a bit down from the Grove Tavern on Morden road. A couple down Plough Lane gone too. Also the Crown and the Spoonies in Morden too.

The Trafalgar on High Path gone too, very sad to see them go, pubs are the places where communities are built and maintained. I've been to many of these places with my children and grandson too, even though he is a bit too young to prop up the bar at the moment.

Very good, but you missed The Great Southwestern, which was across the road and slightly to the right of wimbledon station main entrance. no 3 I think it was.It was an Ind coupe house

I just remembered, there was also the White Hart in Kingston Rd at the junction of Hartfield Rd, where the rail crossing is. Believe there is a planning application for flats.

You missed the Emma Hamilton in Wimbledon Chase (Kingston Road), now a block of flats :/

Wimbledon used to be one of my favourite places for a pub crawl. Sorry to see The Brewery Tap has gone. There was a small pub in the road that ran from the church up to the high street and the Dog and Bull. Can't think what it was called.

The 'King of Denmark' in The Ridgeway was my local for many years in the 60's.
The saloon bar was quite expensive though, 1/3d for a half pint of bitter!

Made in Italy (was the Broadway Tavern) closed during the Covid lockdown. Shame as it did really good pizzas. Jimmy's has also closed down.
