Poplar Court - Gap Road - Wimbledon - SW19

A trip down memory lane. over 30 years since I last visited the flats where I grew up. Here we have a video slideshow of my short visit.

I moved to Poplar Court in 1981, to the left as you enter 109 . I had a photo of me when I was the fastest Postman in the UK jumping up in the air. Fond memories of playing football up against the wall near the washing lines, jumping off the first floor balcony, parties at my friends house Steve Spence. I often look back and can’t believe the flat prices now, if only my mum bought hers ……… Fantastic finding this vlog 😁

I have very fond memories of the place. I grew up there from 1965 until 1972 . . .We lived at 35, top floor of where the scaffolding is in the film...many thanks for posting :-)

Hi David What a small world. We lived at Number 75 Poplar Court until 1969. My mum remembers you well as we lived in the same block. We were the Watson family, I'm one of 6 children. I moved when I was just 9 years old. I was also taking a trip down memory lane on-line. When I came across your video. I too have fond memories of Poplar Court.
