NISSAN TEANA 250XV V6 Model Yr 2011 DASHBOARD CRACKS

Recently I noticed my Teana dashboard have deep cracks all over especially around all the edges. I took the car back to TAN CHONG NISSAN Service Centre at Batu Caves but one of their Service Advisor told me that Nissan car " ARE LIKE THAT ", no claim is allow although it is clearly due to material defects problem ( Watch short clip ). That's mean Nissan cars interior will only last for 5 years and after that it will cracked up. This is the first time I experienced a luxury Japanese well know brand dashboard cracked up and it happens to be NISSAN CAR. Swear I will never ever buy a Nissan car again anymore. Nissan car has no quality at all, no more confidence with Nissan car, worse than our local Protons. So please think twice before you wanted to buy a Nissan car next time.

Having the same crack lines al over the dashboard. This must be bad material used. My car is always parked in the garage. So I don't think this is caused by the sun. Nissan have to do something about this.
Did you guys hear anything from Nissan after complaining?

I notice the crack a year ago and ignore it. Lately it's getting worst. I send my Teana (2012) to Tan Chong for service (have been sending to Tan Chong since I bought it) and I was not told that that the warranty valid for 5 years, although they service responsible members could have noticed the crack but just ignore it. When I highlight it during my service - March 2018 (in Jalan Sow Lin), I was tol that it would cost ~RM4k because it's already >5years. And I was informed that Tan Chong extended the warranty from 3 years to 5 years but unfortunately, this information was not shared with those who bought Teana. Maybe due to this kind of ignorant, Nissan cars doesn't have a good second hand value. Tq

Same problem with mine which is usually garaged in cool shade. In 2018-9 Tan Chong quoted me over RM6K for replacement. Special price, they claimed! There are reupholster specialists in Kepong charging under 2k but I have not gotten around to fixing it yet.

is this j32 teana dashboard made of hard plastics or soft touch ones?

dashboard cracking is common for J32s. dont know why nissan cant find a way to help customers with the problem. more like a defect in manufacturing rather than a one off thing

I am also face the same problem, I report to Tan Chong after 5years and two weeks, they feedback that can only warranty me half price which need to pay RM2600..

similar with my J32 2011, i restore it by recover with synthetic leather "MB tech" brand this take cost US$ 140. in Jakarta.

I am also having the same problem. 2 dashboard cracks on my 6 year old teana. These are definitely defects. Should last more than 10 years before cracks appear. Most of the time the car is parked under shade. I will be seeing the service center next week,

I have exactly same problem. My car was bought in mid 2012. This is a rip-off. Must warn others !
