I was at my best friends house. He had this puzzle and was in the process of telling me that he thought it was impossible to solve. Before he finished explaining why they thought it was unsolvable, I solved it. He told me to take it home and get it out of his house.

I hate to admit it, but so far I have not figured out ONE of his puzzles. Even after he shows us, if a week went by, I'm not sure I'd remember how to do it. Interesting to watch, though, and makes you wonder about the people who can think these things up.

I don’t necessarily get these things the first time, but this one I did. I could see exactly how to solve it, and it’s actually easier than the solution shown here!

The HARD part is remembering what you did to remove it and reversing it so you can RESET the puzzle for the next person.

You didn't achieve the goal. You said the goal was to untie the red strung in under 3 minutes. You never untied the rope. You just freed it from the structure.
