Nice review - don't forget the Clio e tech self charging hybrid. I've had one for over two years and it hasn't missed a beat yet. Getting around 67mpg.

I’m an EV driver normally. Summer 2022 I booked a VWID3 from Bergen Airport for a month but when I arrived the rental company was right out of EV’s to rent so they “upgraded” me to a Toyota Corolla Estate with a self charging hybrid system - over 30 days driving from Bergen to North Cape and back we averaged 70mpg which I thought was impressive even though I would have preferred a full on EV to test out the charging network in Norway.

Your videos are always excellent! What are your thoughts on the Mitsubishi Outlander PHEV? They seem to very cheap, and i understand Mitsubishi has left UK. Would it still make a good budget hybrid?

I love the BMW I 8. Just a shame the group 50 insurance. It would be good if there was a way of putting a limiter on the performance if it meant cheaper insurance as I love the look. Loved the doors but could be an issue if you get cars parking to near to you in the bays when getting your meal deal from Tesco.

Could also explain the battery life cycle in average for each vehicle if thats known. Toyota and Lexus last the life of the vehicle as i heard. also the merc c class hybrids are also a solid case for an opinion.

I loved 330e. Its such and under rated car. It was far superior to my current model Golf GTE.

You missed the Vauxhall Ampera plug-in with an excellent 40 miles of electric range - very cheap, very reliable.

The Yaris Cross is the best choice! Honda Jazz a very strong 2nd choice.

My commute has just become a short 2 miles each way i am past bike riding and living in Scotland weather puts me off even more. I am thinking electric to and from work would be best as starting a petrol or diesel on cold morning's and driving it such a short distance wouldnt be good for the engine so plug in hybrid seams best option for work and trouble free extended range at weekends. Think all electric may be too expensive. Thoughts?

Would dearly love a BMW i8... but kind of put off by the Group 50 insurance. As 350bhp is not that high for such high insurance.

Are lexus not in the mix a bit? Late model CT200 and IS models on a 21 plate between £15k and £21k depending on mileage? Just saying!
