Yamcha’s death wasn’t even that bad, he did it to protect Krillin since he knew at the time that if Krillin died then he couldn’t come back.

It misses the entire point of why his first sacrifice mattered. The first one had so much impact because it was the last thing we expected from the former demon king. Nowadays we know they're best buds.

One of the most memorable “deaths” was Master Roshi in the T.O.P
I mean, it wasn’t really a DEATH-death, but I’m pretty sure his heart stopped and it was pretty devastating to watch

I thought Trunks death was the worst. Imagine going back in time to warn everyone about bad robots destroying the world and everyone ignores you, saves the enemy because they're horny, and kicks your own ass to let the big bad CELL stay alive, only finally to get killed by perfect cell later.
