Coloring Using ONLY PURPLE Art Supplies!

Today I’m challenging myself to color a page with ONE COLOR ONLY – Purple!

I’m taking on the “one color challenge” and have found ALL my purple pencils and markers to color a page with ONLY PURPLE. I’m coloring a page from Kerby Rosane’s adult coloring book, Fragile World. And I’ve chosen a page that usually wouldn’t have ANY purple. So this will be interesting!

I actually challenged myself to make monochromatic Halloween cards for my Etsy shop this year. I did an all green ghost scene and an all purple bat scene (but I used a while gel pen for highlights on both). It was definitely quite the challenge!!

Also, lack of purple in coloring supplies isn't the only place there's a lack of purple. Finding purple clothing has gotten harder in the last decade or so... and good purple is hard to find in makeup too... but then again, getting purple pigments is hard and they're expensive too.

This picture is everything to me. My first soft toy was a growling panda.dad bought itfor me while he was
working away.(He passed away 7 years ago). And purple has long been my favourite colour. When I was 4 yrs, my mum let me choose the yarn
colour for a cardigan. I chose lilac. The storekeeper was horrified. Fancy allowing a 4 yr old to choose her own
colour (this was in 1965). I've owned many items of purple clothing since then, and it now extends to hats, scarves, gloves, jewellery, handbags, boots and shoes! At one stage my handbag held: a purple: wallet, hairbrush,
glasses case, tablet/med.s purse and various other purple paraphernalia lol!
Would you be interested in selling the purple panda picture?(It never hurts to ask lol).

I admire you just for making the effort to gather those supplies.
I can bet that it took more time to take out those pencils and markers and test them than it took to actually colour the page. And we all know that putting the supplies back to their places is the most hard part of the process. Hats off to you.

I’m glad you didn’t use white and black. If you were to do this in the future it would be good to see you do it without white and black, and then at the end go back and add it so we can see the finished differences with and without it. You’re a champ for using all those different purples it looks great

This looks amazing...I love purple but even so I wouldn't have thought of the Panda being done in purple it actually looks so effective....from a Sth Aussie to another Aussie love your work...
