Question - in setting up a secondary campaign for lower selling variations
You say to use the main campaigns best Kw and terms and take the unique descriptive words for the lower selling variation and add them to the best terms and put them in the secondary campaign
My question to make sure I understand is when one dies that I assume that’s what’s called a longer tail term So because that longer tail seems like it’s a phrase then my question is do we put those longer tails only in a phrase campaign ?
Example : main campaign is hat
Variations are red blue and black hats
Red and blue are best sellers do they are in my main campaign.
Black hat is a lower seller so that will be my secondary campaign
I go to main campaign and take sll my best producing KW and terms and as I use them in my secondary campaign here my two questions
Do I add black to each kw / search term making it a longer tail
OR
Am I just adding all the main campaign kw and terms to the secondary campaign and add black as a separate kw in the campaign ? I assume I’m adding black to each main kw or phrase otherwise all the same non specific kw and terms woukd compete with the main right ?

If you a a product with the same color but different size variations and you don't have enough data yet as to which one is the better seller. Wouldn't it better set campaigns for just the parent ASIN since all variations would show up on that listing? Or should I set PPC campaigns for all variations until I have for data?

thanks for the tips, i have a question i hope you see and answer, red hat is best selling and you created a seperate, focus on that, ok ... we sell 3 different model red hats ( A B C ) among with the other colors, we belive red is the focus color on all models, by the way all hats have same item description and keyworrds. so for one one red campaign is it ok to put all red asins ( Amodel Red, B model Red, C model Red ) in one campaign ads or should ve also do different campaigns for 3 different red hats ?
