2023 version | Customizing Jira with Forge | Atlassian Developer Training

In this training, we will cover:

1️⃣ Introduction to Atlassian's Forge Platform: We will start with an overview of Forge, Atlassian's serverless FaaS (Function as a Service) platform.

2️⃣ Forge Fundamentals: We will dive into the fundamentals of working with Forge. This will include an introduction to Forge's command line interface (CLI), a hello world app, managing environment variables, and setting permissions. This will also include debugging techniques and how to deploy applications on Jira Cloud.

3️⃣ Hands-on Coding Session: Here, participants will get their hands dirty with a live coding session. They will be guided through creating a simple Forge app that extends Jira Cloud functionality. This will reinforce understanding of Forge's UI kit, CLI, and manifest files.

Participants should meet the following prerequisites:

✅ Have a working knowledge of Jira Cloud and basic web development concepts

✅ Be able to follow instructions and complete tasks independently

This video taught me more than three weeks of Googling and trawling through the Developer site where the only stuff I could find was very basic "Hello World" stuff. I completely have the hang of UI Kit but now I would like to add my own css and javascript which as far as I can tell requires Custome UI - do you have a tutorial for it?

dark mode is good for eyes in general but horrible for presentations
