Chapter 13: Kinetics of a Particle : Force and Acceleration
Equations of Motion: Cylindrical Coordniates
Hibbeler Dynamics 14th ed

13–91. Using a forked rod, a 0.5-kg smooth peg P is forced to move along the vertical slotted path r = (0.5 u) m, where u is in radians. If the angular position of the arm is u = (pi/8*t^2) rad, where t is in seconds, determine the force of the rod on the peg and the normal force of the slot on the peg at the instant t = 2 s. The peg is in contact with only one edge of the rod and slot at any instant.

THANKS FOR YOUR HELP ON THE LAST QUESTION, I want to ask I'm having trouble forming the free body diagrams for cylindrical coordinates questions do u have any advice on how to get better or how to spot or identify the forces?

How do you which side of the slot exert the normal force?

Why did we take the sigh angle for Normal force, why it is not 90 minus sigh, as normal is not making sigh angle with r axis

It says that the measurements are in radians but you use degrees
