A few corrections. You can still have windows on Mars, the radiation comes from above not the sides. The 20 minute delay is only when mars is at its furthest from Earth, usually its more like 5-10 minutes. There is water on the surface of Mars, but only at the poles. The radiation isn't as extreme as depicted, you could survive years on the surface of mars without issues, depending on where you set up your base. Building a base against a cliff would also massively decrease radiation levels while still allowing for plenty of windows. The gravity also isn't a very big problem, it's 40% of Earths, so with some basic exercise muscle decay would be minimal. You also wouldn't need solar panels as well as a nuclear reactor, a single reactor could power a mars base for years. Anyway, I get that it's exaggerated for comedic effect. The animation is great.

Some editions of "The Martian" by Andy Weir include a short story taking place after Watney's return to Earth talking about his difficulties readjusting to life on the blue marble, to include a lot of the stuff you talked about, plus agoraphobia (Watney isn't used to being safe outside of confined spaces since he had to stay inside his habitat or his rovers), being a serious cancer risk (yay all that radiation), and an enduring hatred of potatoes and potato-based products (he farmed a lot of potatoes to help stretch his rations to survive).

I just love the Mitzi guys content! Always funny, always good quality. I agree with one of the commenters that this could be used as a Mars expedition manual in the not so distant future.
