I don’t think many people realize how much more power mihrimah had compared to her aunts/grandmother. Yes they are sultanas, but they were born from/were concubines who had no power outside the harem. Mihrimah is the daughter of a Sultan and a Haseki Sultan, her parents were legally recognized as husband and wife by the Islamic officials. Which is the first time that happened in history. They were the most major power players of their time and their unconditional and deeply devoted love and support for their only daughter gave her power that no other sultanas whether daughter/sister/aunt had ever held. Even if according to custom she had to bow to her aunts.
