2021 Ford escape rear brakes service. system will not go in service mode please help. #ford

Your all set. That's it. Now to go back into normal mode do the same except this time pull on the parking brake switch.

MY 2020 escape, there is no maintenance mode anywhere so i proceeded with rear brake job and finished with zero issues. This is all bs. I used needle nose pliers to turn piston clockwise (both).

Doesn’t need to be put into maintenance mode, I’ve done my own breaks with no issues without it being in maintenance mode, just make sure you have the caliber tool set with the nubs on it to screw the rear caliber piston in, or use a pair of needle nose pliers. If your worried about something happening with the system because it’s not in maintenance mode just unplug the caliber from the electrical system, very easy cord to get to that’s right on the caliber

I can't see all your dash lights due to the message, but first time it took me 2 days to figure out, that procedure has to start with e-brake OFF. Otherwise service mode does not activate. If still not working → go to stealership...

You need a competent scanner or do it the manual way. They will not go into maint mode the old way if it's 21 or newer

I couldn't get into Maintenace mode 2020 Escape, so I did it manually not a problem watch a video on how. Now I have a parking brake failure message, but rear pads installed only 26000 miles on car.

No maintenance mode needed but the correct tool and you juste turn the little square with a ratchet until the caliper si fully on. It's really easy.
