I've had them all, and there are some little details no one is talking about, first of all, on the new Nothing Ear, i have the same issue that i had on the Ear (2), but on these it's even worse i think, but the thing is that when the personal sound profile feature is on, and even when it's off, the earbuds have so much clarity that it makes songs sound harsh, basically there's little low quality noise, and this was with the personal sound profile on "Softer", intensity 20. Also, there isn't info about this anywhere online, but the personal sound profile does not work with LDAC codec selected. The regular Ear doesn't sound impressive or different from the Ear (a) IF you aren't using the custom advanced EQ, which if you are using, for some reason, you can't even tell if Bass Enhance is off or on, even on level 5, the feature simply isn't effective enough to tell a difference, but of course it worked with the 3-band custom EQ. Using the custom advanced EQ also reduces the clarity, if for example you boost the lows, though the low quality noise issue when songs are playing is still present, just less noticeable, the pinch controls also have a little more delay than the Ear (a) from what i've experienced. My recommendation is if you don't need wireless charging, advanced custom EQ, slightly more detailed sound and the personal sound profile which may make audio quality worse, i highly suggest to get the Ear (a) instead, not just because the case is smaller, but because in my opinion the full white stem looks prettier, the battery on them also last longer, there low quality noise issue isn't present on them, the Ear (a) earbud shell also has a matte finish (unlike the regular Ear) which looks and feels better when you're wearing them, they also deal better with earwax, same amount of noise cancelling dB, same frequency range, unless you don't find a good EQ on the regular Ear, both they will sound almost the same. They might not have all the features but i think you won't even notice. As for the Ear (2), do not upgrade in my opinion, i couldn't even tell a difference between them and the new Ear, just +10 more detail in songs, more bass of course, and the ear tips are better because of the cutouts, the new Ear also comes with a protective film on top of them, that's mostly all differences.

This may be far off, but I would love a review of that Moondrop audiophile phone. Also, for sound quality on the go, which of these is the best fit?

Hands down nothing earbuds have the best microphone quality compared to flagship earbuds like sony, apple, bose, sennheiser.

Is it even possible to have a conversation in transparency mode on any earbuds? The music still distracts, or do people stop the music when talking?

Thanks heaps for your review, however, at 07:18 the pic depicts yellow nothing ear (a) while text says nothing ear (2), later in this segment similar confusion persists.

Which earbuds would you recommend to use for important work calls in a room with a loud air conditioner and fan blowing directly at me? Thanks! Great video.

I guessed you at 15. 😁
I received ear (a) today (yellow).
Love them, cherish them, will die for them. Now I will order the others. I do want the EQ. Thank you for your smarts and I am very thankful for nothing.
