For a moment I thought the video would tell me what are the airlines going to do to beat the huge slump in business they are having now... 😒

This video has inaccurate information. The 747 has been set to retire for years now, and it is not because of the Pandemic

I really hope I didn’t make the wrong decision to go to flight school this fall to be a pilot.

People want to travel safely and for leisure. Business travel by planes will be reduced drastically. one because virtual meetings are now widely accepted. Two because more idiotic rules will govern "short distance" travel to allegedly save the climate, requiring employees to travel by train. At least in Europe thats quickly becoming a thing.

When it comes to many American Airlines, they got themselves more in this hole because they never saved for a rainy day fund. In any business, you invest in three sections to keep your business afloat when it makes profits. You pay back your investors, you expand with your employees, and you save up for a rainy day/emergency fund. Many American Airlines did the first, and forgot about the rest. So now they got a huge bailout from the government (our tax dollars) so they wouldn’t go out of business.

The part about the 747 is misleading because the 747 was being retired overall before the coronavirus.

It was dumped for more fuel efficient and quieter aircraft. As more countries tightened up on environmental regulations

I think if airplanes became convertibles, the issue with enclosed space will be resolved. Something to look into for sure.

:( I used to work for Flybe, and after finishing my Bachelors in Aviation & Airport Management I am currently studying CIPS to get into the procurement and supply industry as Logistics was also another industry of my passion that I self-studied years ago and took an online course with MIT through EDX. I urge all my Aviation brothers and sisters to stay strong and survive through other industries offering jobs within transportation, logistics, supply, operations, communication, manufacturing, engineering, management, customer service, etc. It is going to be a long run before Aviation gets back on its feet, but remember we are professionals, we are strong, we will serve and we will succeed.
