Literally the best review of jeans I have ever watched in my life. And top 3 reviews on YouTube I’ve seen to date. You went so in depth with each pant and didn’t leave anything to question appreciate your content! 🙏🏾

I came across a pair of the 550s while thrifting this weekend, and they are my new favorite pair of denims I own. I love that they have the extra thigh space without looking too baggy or sloppy. Also, the longer rise with an oversized tee tucked in creates a pleasing aesthetic vibe. Your analysis of all the fits is perfect. I also appreciate you showing the back view of the jeans because that's often where jeans hug the most for me, and sizing up in the wrong fit often looks bad/saggy. This review is top-tier!

10x, smartest video ever made on jeans!

505s were originally the zip-fly version of the 501’s button-fly.

After two decades of buying jeans with a little stretch and low rises with zippers, I have returned to the 501 button fly. Yes, it is a heavier denim, but they wear longer, hold a crease, and subesequently look better with a suit jacket and brown wingtips. This video was excellent and concise.

514 seems amazing! Super thorough video, dude-- i like how you did the comparisons. I think that's something most other jeans reviews lack! Great work.

Thanks so much for such a comprehensive review on these Levi's styles! Great job! At this point in my life,
I like a 550 relaxed or a 505; Not too baggy, not too tight! I'd like to try a 559. As a kid, 501's were the only Levi's style available at the time. I'm 70 now! 👍

I do love the 501’s but the 514’s are some of the best fitting Levi’s I’ve ever worn I will never stop loving my Levi’s

One thing you should disclose in this review is whether you bought the 100% cotton styles or the Stretch style. This makes a hug difference on the waist and thigh. 505 for me have always been baggier at the thigh than the 501. 514 is a little more snug but the waist had to be 1 size bigger than 501. Awesome review, probably the best comparison between styles.

I’m a 514. Perfect fit for me and I prefer the lower rise.

Interestingly I can wear 501 if I size up, or if I choose a different color. Yes, certain Jean colors come in thinner denim. I like the button fly but not at the cost of a higher rise, so 514 ftw

Great review. I just purchased my 514 on your recommendation and very happy with that. Same experience with 501, just too tight at thighs and too rigid material. 514 just little bit wider in thighs but the slightly flex material adds a lot to its comfort.

My dad had a clothing shop back in the 1960's. A pair of 501 cost around $3.95 back around 1964. Back then, those jeans were very stiff and REALLY shrunk to fit. Shrinkage control was an issue, so you had to buy them a size bigger around the waist and 2 size longer. Throughout the 1970's & mid 1980's the jeans became softer and softer. Personally, I wear Wrangler 13mwz Cowboy Cuts & boots.

My alltime favorite was the 517 and 527 straight boot cut❤....in 80's and 90's editions

for your body type if u go fore regular levis 501 like u did u have to size one up. or buy LVC 1955 501 which has a bigger thigh space so it looks great.

501s are my favorites. Maybe I'm biased here, because I have been wearing this since 1959 and that was the only style for along time. A couple of times I had zippers replace the button fly but overall that is the best style for me.
