Why you should use a radar gun to train for baseball

Показать описание
It seems like everyday there’s a new training tool that comes out that promises all these gains in velocity. Some of them are great don’t get me wrong but you don’t need all the fancy tools to get better. Having access to a radar gun that gives you constant feedback on every throw allowing you to shift your focus to an external goal is as valuable as any tool on the market. You don’t need a $1500 Stalker, a pocket radar does the job just as well for a fraction of the cost. Having a radar gun out doesn’t mean you need to be chasing PRs constantly, it is all about how you use it. You can use it on recovery days to make sure that your velocity isn’t getting above a certain number. Or you can limit yourself to a certain % of effort like 80% and try to throw as hard as you can at 80% and you’ll likely find yourself figuring out that your mechanics become much smoother because of that. Implicit learning at its core.
