Extremely few people shave dry. On the other hand, shaving cream is not necessary for shaving, water is enough and your skin won't be dry, red or irritated. You're welcome.

Shaving cream is key for a smooth shave, but water can work in a pinch. Don't forget to prep your skin with warm water beforehand!

To all the guys that are still struggling with shaving, here's some things I discovered help.

1. If it's been a while since you last shaved use an electric razor. Not the circle ones, just a cheap straight line buzz that you plug in. It will shave really quickly and not pull on the long hairs. Then follow with an actual blade for a baby smooth finish.

2. The saftey razors that you can easily replace the blade of takes some practice, but will offer the best shave. You can even forgo shaving cream after a while.

3. If you get acne after you shave try switching shaving cream brands or going without. Do this after getting proficient with a razor to ensure best results

4. If you're like me and get really bad acne or rashy after the fact use isopropyl alchol afterwards. It will burn, but it will midigate any itching or bumps.

5. Don't be afraid to experiment with what works. If you are having a problem try something new. Every face is different and hair growth nor skin requirements aren't consistent for everyone. Find what works for you even if it's unconventional

I actually shaved my face with just a little bit of water and the strip on the back works to moist in my face this way I could line myself up with my chinstrap and I can see what I’m doing

Pro tip:
When you're about to shave, wet your beard with warm water (not lukewarm), then apply the shaving cream.
Once you're done shaving, wash your face with COLD water, at least twice.

Cold water will prevent rashes and ingrown hair.

I use hand soap to shave, it works better than shaving cream imo. Also shave after a shower, makes the hair nice and soft.

I shave dry and I’ve never gotten a rash or razor bumps, just do it after you shower and the skin will be moistened while the hair is dry which prevents rust and makes it easier for the hair to slide out of the razor
