Im not throwing stones from a glass house, because I am sure that I have overlooked things that could have potentially helped someone. However, I truly care about other people including people that I dont know. I wish that humanity wasnt programmed to only get involved when it suites their best interest. Great video, it really is a topic that we all need to think more about, it would definitely make the world a better place if we thought more about others as opposed to getting wrapped with our own needs.

No I don't think people really care about other people. The reason why I believe this is, because of two reasons.
Frist reason it is just side of their/our scope of interest. Like the suicide hotline example you made. The one of the reason why they didn't share it is because it's not into their interest to do so maybe their not suicidal or someone close to them aren't suicidal either, so sharing the link wouldn't help or further their interest in their personal lives.
My next point is people just don't owe anyone else anything. This especially goes to but not limited to the internet. The internet allow us to be anonymous for the must part, because of that we create a disconnection between each other all most like a door that separates two people one person could be screaming in anguish while the other person could hear it, but choose to ignore it because he doesn't know, see, or is related to this person so it is much easier to just fully ignore what kind of pain and trouble this person is in all, because he doesn't owe him anything. Those are ny reason Why I think people don't care about other people. Now for your last question is the world a bad place? Well I don't know either I just think that an question that can lead to many abstract and subjective answers. Thanks for the video it gave me something to think about.
