You could launch a query from the listbox selection with the Click event.

Create a query sub like: CheckUser(username as string)

Then add it to your Click event for your listbox like:

Have the query sub populate the form fields from the sub.

@Rardon99 Thank you Rardon99. :-)
Yes, they will have to have an functional and accessible installation of MySQL on their computer or another accessible server. What you CAN compile with your program are SQL scripts that will configure a new database on their server, and create the table structure. This is a standard practice for database applications.
Another environment, is a game server where the database is only accessible to the server (user accounts, etc.) and the users won't see it. :-)

I definitely need to post a followup video to demo this. ;-) I'll PM you the instructions though.

If you don't mind being cheap you could install "WAMP", which has "MySQL", "Php", "Apache" and a few other things all bundled together.

This will install a WebGUI for dealing with MySQL Tables, called "PhpMyAdmin".

PhpMyAdmin is essentially the most used (imo) Database Manager.

Welcome, AbuLaila Ahmed! :-) Sorry for the slow reply.

I haven't tried setting up the MySQL connection as a VB.NET "Data Source" but I believe that it is indeed possible. Once you've installed the ADO connector, you shoulf have the option of creating a new MySQL data source connection. :-)

I do all of my tutorials for free on my own time, so I feel that it's only fair to collect a few pennies in this way. That said, I fully support my viewers' right to ignore or block them. There are several browser based addons for blocking them. If you wish to block them, feel free, but I greatly appreciate the contributions of kind souls. :-)
