Douro Historic Train: A Journey on a Steam Train | Portugal

Explore the breathtaking landscapes of Portugal's Douro Valley as we embark on a journey aboard the Douro Historic Train, departing from the city of Régua and stopping at Pinhao and Tua. In this video, you'll be transported to a bygone era, where the iconic 100-year old steam train takes you on a scenic adventure through picturesque vineyards, along the meandering Douro River. The rolling stock used for the Douro Historic Train consists of 5 different historical carriages, built between 1908 and 1934. The steam locomotive is CP 0186, built in Germany by Henschel & Sohn, in 1925.

This walking tour was filmed in 4K resolution, first-person point of view with captions (no talking), for a more immersive experience!

Boa tarde Miguel, que vídeo legal, você fez no ano passado o passeio de carro pela Estrada Nacional N-222 de Régua a Pinhão, agora está fazendo o trajeto de trem e no ano que vem você fecha a trilogia viajando de barco pelo Rio Douro, fazendo assim um grande finale da região do Douro, aqui no Brasil também temos alguns passeios de trem antigos chamados popularmente de " Maria Fumaça" principalmente na região de Minas Gerais e no Sul do Brasil, realmente é uma viagem nostálgica e romântica. Fomos à Portugal em 2022 e 2023 no verão, e utilizamos muito dos seus vídeos para montar o roteiro de viagem.
Conhecemos 53 locais entre aldeias, vilas e cidades. Percorri a N222 de Régua à Pinhão, vizitei as estações de trem(comboio), e dei um mergulho no Rio Tua, proximo da hidroelétrica.

Hey Miguel, another beautiful video, thank you. It brought back pleasant memories of visiting Regua and Pinhao and staying at Quinta de la Rosa just outside of Pinhao and taking the Rabelo boat between Pinhão and Tua. Miguel, I am looking for a Portuguese woman non-catholic who doesn't like Bacalhau. Does such a woman exist? LOL
