His performance in Dirty Harry is just as chilling now as it was in 1971. I agree with the comments of others, he deserved an Oscar.

Andy Robinson went 100% all in when he played Scorpio in Dirty Harry. It is incredible to me that he basically outshined even Clint Eastwood in this film. Think about that for a minute.

Andy wasn't kidding. Hollywood totally typed cast him. Scorpio is one of the best villains in film history. Andy's work in Dirty Harryis a treasure of all time crazy people ever. Great work Mr. Robinson.

Such a pleasent and great guy in real life... it goes to show how great an actor he is when you watch Dirty Harry and see how sick and twisted his character was played. I only knew him in Dirty Harry for decades and to later see the real Andy in different roles and numerous interviews was so refreshing.

Interesting interview, Andy Robinson went to that place in his portrayal of the character "Scorpio" in Dirty Harry, he was so good as the evil character that it cost him work as an actor. Quite unfortunate as he is a very gifted actor.

I saw Dirty Harry in 1971at the drive-in with my boyfriend. I asked him what the movie was about, and he said, "Oh, it's a cop show." I rolled my eyes and thought Oh crap. But he was my boyfriend, and it was a date so why not? He sat through my chick flicks before, so I could sit through his cop show. Well, I ended up loving that picture more than he did. Clint Eastwood had a lot to do with it, of course. But what a fantastic movie. Believe me, there was no making out at the drive-in that night. We were glued to the screen!! It remains one of my favorite movies.

He did an incredible job in Dirty Harry. Seemed like he was legit taken out of the insane asylum just to play that role like he said. Scorpio was a sadistic psychopath and as evil as a human being could be. He apparently got death threats after it came out, so I think he nailed it.

Scorpio was an excellent opportunity to really display his acting chops and he grabbed it with both hands and it stood him in good stead, honourary oscar is deserved.

Amazing portrail of a very disturbed human. The noise that he made was awesome. Later his work in Hellraiser was just as fantastic. Great actor who really made a massive contribution to the Dirty Harry genre.

The Scorpio killer fascinates me and he's what makes Dirty Harry such an electric viewing experience. The fact the character doesn't really have any back story in the film makes him all the more frightening. Like he was just born evil.

Andy's portrayal of Scorpio was amazing acting skills and gave the Dirty Harry character a reason for existing 👏 Well done Andy. Love 70s San Fran ❤, the look of the older cars and that police bell jet chopper.

His performance was so amazing, he deserved an Academy Award for his performance, and he was so good in fact, he couldn't get any film acting roles ever again after it because they thought he was that character (type casting) he returned to theatre after it. There's other video on here of him talking about the creation of that role and how original it was.

Andrew brings up a great point. Playing a part such as that, especially if you do as awesome a job playing it as he did, the public can sometimes brand you as that character and it can unfortunately cost a great actor.
