The Hardys and Lita teamed up against Triple H, Stephanie and Steve Austin in April 2001. Lita hit Stephanie with a twist of fate, then with a moonsault and they won the match. Triple H attacked her and hit her with a pedigree. Austin hit Jeff with a chair and then Matt. Austin started to hit Lita multiple times with it. Triple H hit Jeff again with the pedigree. Then Austin hit Lita with a stunner. On Smackdown, they were cutting a promo, Jeff came out and hit Triple H with a chair and then Austin. Stephanie slapped him and Jeff hit a twist of fate on her. Then Triple H demanded Jeff from William Regal. They met that evening for the intercontinental title. Jeff went for the swanton bomb but Triple H pushed the referee into the ropes. The ref pushed him and then he pushed him back. Matt came out and hit Triple H with the chair, Jeff hit a swanton bomb and then pinned him to become the new champion. A rematch happened on Raw. Austin attacked Matt backstage. Lita went to check on him but Austin came out. Then Triple H hit Jeff with a pedigree to regain the title. Austin started to hit Jeff with a belt. Matt came out to get hit by a chair. Austin hit him too. Then Triple H hit Jeff with a chair. Until the brothers of destructions arrived to scare them away.

This mini fued is what proved to the wrestling world that Jeff Hardy would eventually be a singles star. The pop when he won the IC title was incredible. Nobody expected him to win that night

Two Man Power Trip was an amazing storyline. Every week something cool happened. Great promos, great matches, great little cameos from The Hardys, Dudleys, Benoit Jericho and E&C. Everyone had a moment to shine during this storyline.

That Brothers of Destruction entrance was still, to this day, Legendary. The way the lights went out and hear the intro to Rollin, it took a sec for it to really hit the fans that "Holy shit...it's them. This is really happening!" When they walked out in unison and just stood at the top of the ramp, fuckin unmatched aura.
