This is all genuine love too. Jeff Hardy had so many ups and downs and faced so many personal demons up to this point, yet the fans still loved him without the WWE needing to shove him down our throats. Probably the greatest redemption story in the history of the WWE.

Everybody loved Jeff. The rainbow hair, the face paint, the weird dancing, the armbands, the fishnet, the cargo pants with the towel sticking out, the highflying moves. Even his promos with his creative side in the Hardy compound was cool. He was never boring and he was always unique. Everybody wanted to be like Jeff Hardy jumping off from their sofas at home and wearing his armbands. People were so happy that he won the title because deep down those guys and girls that cheered for him either wanted to be like him, looked up to him or had a huge crush on him, so for him to be champion, they felt like they were champion as well, they felt like they were part of the journey from his days as a jobber to tagging with Matt, getting speared in WMX7, battling his personal demons and now he is champion.

Jeff winning the WWE Championship felt like everyone winning it. We were all waiting for this day. It took so long because he kept getting in his own way. For just a short while he got himself together and made not only his dream come true, but the dream of millions who had followed his career.
