DId a 3 day Amsterdam - Paris back in Sept and can vouch cycling infrastructure there was just delightful. Definitely notice the difference crossing the border into Antwerp.

Delonghi espresso machine - It's amazing and doesn't break the bank

If you're just looking for a simple espresso machine, you could get the DeLonghi Dedica Style. Works great, I would also recommend to get a good grinder. :)

As of coffee machine, my weapon of choice was Jura Ena 9, quite expensive, but work like a charm. Probably, today I would buy a model without a cappuccino maker, because a separate one with a heating control is much more convenient (Jura too). For country house i've got a simple Nespresso model Essenza Mini -- they Arpeggio and Ristretto capsules are quite good to my taste. We IT guys can't function properly without caffeine :)

I bought an Aeropress and got more acquainted with the Moka Pot during the Quarantine. Not the same as legit espresso but possible to make good, strong coffee in both...both are portable too!

Depending on your budget, we have a Sage Oracle Touch at home. A Semi-auto that produces consistent Cafe quality shots. This is a good machine for those that don't have the time or inclination to be a barista at home.
