If the NCAA admin people get more money, they’re open to anything. If they don’t get more money from it, they won’t do it. I think it’s really that simple and bleak

The only thing they can't do is remove the teams' associations with the schools. If they lose that, they lose the fan base.

College football is slowly turning into a semi-pro league.

Football is no joke. You work your ass off and your body takes a beating. There is no way any grown man should be playing such a violent sport & not get paid for it while the coaches & networks are making millions. Nobody should work for below their value. They generate revenue & should receive their cut. Period.

Remember when athletes had to be "academically eligible" to play? It seems everyone's always eligible these days. Do they still take classes or is putting on a uniform the total experience?

If this passes. College sports are dead.

The reason people pay to see college football is because it’s associated with their college or home town or state. If you remove that then it’s just a NFL knockoff. It would be hard to keep the fan base and then does that remove scholarships?

Must separate professional sports teams from schools. They're unrelated, just get in the way of each other.

College football was always a pro league, it's just before the only ones making money were literally everyone involved apart from the athletes 😂😭.

Uh.... Guys.... If I'm a college student and I'm given the opportunity to make a living in a "professional" college team.... Potentially in my hometown, especially... Why the hell would I ever try to leap to the NFL?

Knew this would happen - NFL is trying to create a college "super league" of only the Power 5 football conferences

How many players actually make it to the league, either in NFL, NBA, MLB, NHL everything. The people who don't make the league are at least getting an education while playing their favorite sport. You take away college and just put them into a league they're not being positioned for as much success after their playing days are over

I said this years ago and even made conferences and divisions. “NCFL” 50 teams. March madness style playoffs with 20 teams.

“Oh how terrible these young players making money off their hard work” “let’s step in and take 90% of their money and stuff it in our own pockets”.

Draft kids out of high school and place them in the minor leagues. Also mean some kids will play decades for college teams.

From the beginning, I've believed sports scholarships are/were valuable forms of payment in disguise – rewarding dedication, talent, and hard work of student-athletes!

I've been saying a developmental league could be super helpful for football. There's a bunch of players who just aren't ready yet, or even when teams want to draft and stash a QB, for example. Like, imagine if instead of just sitting around on the bench, you could draft, say, a Jordan Love and keep him playing in that dev league
