My wii broke so we went to the store and they only had this. I was actually ok with it because we didn’t really play online games. It came with a red controller and mariokart. I was so excited to play it. Now we use it every once in a while.

This really is a bargain. I know it has a fair amount of limitations but the Wii has a massive library of awesome games and you will be able to play them at a really good price.

This is a good system to buy, so you can keep it at your grandmas. So you can play when you come over, and most grandmas don't have wifi so that won't matter

Don't know what they were thinking with this one. The regular wii looks sexy as hell. Sharp, glossy, thin.

Hey, hey! Didn't know this was coming out. As someone who passed over on the Wii the first time around and miased out on the Mario and Zelda games since then, this could be just what Santa had in mind for this Christmas!

No internet, flip open disc door, no HD, no GameCube games... what the f*ck Nintendo the PS2 had online connection years ago

Hm I think I might get one of these just to replay some classics if I feel like it,
I've had 2 og Wiis so far and both of them have had disc read errors, plus I prefer manual disc loading systems

I don't care about the lack of Game Cube support, but not including online features, like the Nintendo eShop and Virtual Console is INSANE!

If you have a Wii ignore this. It's for people with less money and who don't need internet and other extra features
 Just like the 2ds it's not for everyone. It's just nintendo doing something nice for poorer people.

People keep saying that Wii Mini and 2DS are a fail for Nintendo. In reality its pretty genius. Launch 2 cheap gaming systems right before the holiday season. Parents will be snatching these up for their kids not caring what important features they're missing.

the wii mini was Released December 7th, 2012 in Canada and March 2013 in Europe

I think this would be cool to have. I've been looking to get a wii since I missed out on it when it was current gen. Plus I don't care about it not having online functionality since I rarely ever play my games online anyway. And as far as backwards compatibility goes, if I want to play Gamecube games, I have an actual Gamecube for that.

lol chill this came out a year ago in canada just came to us this week but its definatelt worth it for 100$ i mean the game is 40$ itself, but for kids not for us the new gen for nintendo is 3ds/xl/2ds and wii u which are good for the price and prety fun

I got that Wii for Christmas cause My family didn’t have enough money for a Wii U so we got this and we put so many hours in this console

i'm actually thinking of buying one of these.  the lack of online doesn't bother.  my only concern is the cables to connect to the television.  that can be adapted to play on modern televisions today right?
