In the original story of little mermaid, the prince was kind to human Ariel as she had lost her voice and had difficulty walking on her legs but he didn't love Ariel and even married someone else. At the end Ariel jumped to the ocean and died (as she had turned human she couldn't breathe underwater)

I feel bad for Ariel, she loves her family but they can be so hard on her, they expect her to be like them so serious and hating humans like their father, but Ariel wants to true to herself and want to live her own life.

I would like to explain why all the sisters look so different from each other. According to the actor of King Triton (i forgot his name </3) they were all conceived in different seas, therefore looked according to the sea they were made in. Example, Mala was conceived in the Chaine sea, so she has the appearance of fish and the surrounding humans of the chaine sea

I really wish the sisters had a lot more screen time. How can the creators make time to make the sisters all uniquely and beautifully different but barely be in the movie??? 😕 they should have been way more.

My theory (according to this adaptation). Merfolks, like Deities and Angels, don’t have specific ethnicities.
