From other vids on Valerio, let me tell you this guy was a future elite fighter. One of the most savage, crazy, tough, relentless fighters of all time, in the realm of greats like Henry Armstrong, Aaron Pryor and Rocky Marciano. And Manny. Manny may very well have been wary of facing Valero in a big match, though I'm sure he would have done so at the right time--for anyone facing Valero had to know that Valero would never quit--even going down to defeat, would drag every last drop of energy from his opponent. Valero may have been insane, for all we really know. You see some of that in that great fight against Mosquera. Mosquera was a true champion, and I've commented before he would have willingly died in that fight, but they stopped it, mercifully. Such a shame to lose Valero before his big chance . . Check out some of his fights, truly fun to watch, albeit mostly rather short.

Edwin is one of my favorite fighters, he is remarkable, what he was able to do in the ring was nothing short of greatness, the fact he had to learn how to walk again and box again after his skull crack from the bike wreck showed his resilience and sheer will very brave determined man, RIP to edwin
