Vice President Kamala Harris spoke at Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority, Inc.'s 60th Biennial Boule in Houston, Texas, on Wednesday hours after former President Donald Trump falsely questioned her racial background. During a panel discussion at the National Association of Black Journalists convention, Trump said Harris "happened to turn Black," adding, "Is she Indian, or is she Black?" Trump also doubled down on his "Black jobs" comment that he brought up when addressing immigration during his June debate with President Biden.
