In my opinion I'd rater have a empty apron than a full apron. Skin I can hide with clothes, huge belly I can't hide no matter what. Besides there is always plastic surgery, but that is not awailable untill after weightloss.

Loose skin would happen even if a person dieted alone but is there a difference between a slow weight loss, say 5 lb a month, to the sudden 20+ weight loss in a month? I had always hoped to lose weight very slowly with small consistent changes in diet to avoid loose skin and a need for surgery(s).

If you ever do an update it might be nice to talk about some of the various things people are doing or selling. to minimize the extra skin as it seems there might be a lot of snake oil there.

Is there anything that I could do to minimize or even prevent excess skin after my surgery? I am 22, so hopefully my age will help with that. But I am hoping to lose around 120 pounds.

Firstly, thank you for all the information that you share. I am curious--you've stated in previous videos that patients can expect to loose around 2/3 of their excess weight. Is removal of loose skin after WLS figured into that weight loss? If not, are their any statistics as to how much the extra skin weighs?

I have a question. I’m scheduled for sleeve gastrectomy on 7/22/19. I’m planning a weekend trip to Las Vegas from 8/8-8/11. That’s two and a half weeks after. I’ve read it’s common to return to work a week to two weeks post op. Will traveling by car to Las Vegas be ok?

reconstructive surgery to remove the excess skin, which can be terribly problematic, is an available option only after the goal weight has been reached.   these greedy ass insurance companies kill me with their reluctance or outright refusal to cover certain, non-cosmetic, procedures.
