My (25f) younger sister (21f) is pretty pregnant. for the last few weeks she has been demanding that my so(27m) and I babysit her new born every weekend, friday morning-sunday evening, so she and her so(21m) can have some cool off time from being parents, to not over stress.

Each time, I have laughed at her and shut it down with a quick "nope, I won't be." And she gets mad I'm "not helping her out."

Yesterday, she got our mother involved. Mom called me and asked why I was being "a self-centered b-tch, and so selfish, she didn't raise me this way" I told her I was a grown a-s woman, with my own house and life, and that if I wanted to watch kids as a 2nd job, I'd f--king have some." She sputtered out something about me being a horrible person and hung up on me.

Story 1:
My sister and mother demand I watch the new baby 3/7 days a week.
Story 2:
AITA for not sharing my “Nanny” with the family?

I never understand why people have such rush to get babies at young age and then complain that they are still young and want to have party life.

Story 1. Sister can give a child for an adoption and then she can have ALL weekends off. Otherwise BE A PARENT.
If anyone drops off the child without your permission inform police about the aboundment, and CPS as well.
You might lose entitle people but you will gain a peace.

Story 1: Looks like we’ve identified the golden child.

So the middle sister deserves to have fun and be young and not responsible for the life they created...but the younger, underage one doesn't? Another piece of the golden child puzzle

The baby was less than a week old...and they tried to leave the baby outside...on the ground...alone. My level of rage connot be conveyed through text

Willow sounds like an amazing person and friend. You're right to keep the in-laws away as they are toxic.

her doing this because they were still young and want to enjoy it makes them attempting to dump the baby on a 16 yo even more infuriating. we can see who the golden child in this family is

For the absolute benefit of the doubt, I just like to think that most people grow up with the concept of "it takes a village to raise a family" ... And then straight up forget that that's normally a voluntary thing.

Story 1, Welcome to parenthood, LOL. Like, "Don't have any more. That way, you'll be able to get weekends back when YOUR child heads out for college...or the Marine Corps...or whatever." My dad's words: "Get somebody pregnant and you've got nine months to prepare yourself because your childhood is OVER."

"Then he formally asked my husband for his permission to bang his wife's hot black friend."

As if OP's husband OWNS the friend?! She's NOT A SLAVE!

OMG, that's just about the most disgusting thing I've ever heard. And if OP's husband doesn't reach out to BIL to shut that down, for good (because he couldn't do it in the moment, because OP rightfully hung up), then I'd seriously re-consider the relationship with the husband, too.

How is it "not fair" that you have childcare, when they are LITERALLY saying they will PAY FOR IT. As in, "We will hire a nanny, but we want THAT ONE, who doesn't want to sit for us, and only THAT ONE will do, and if we have to hire anyone other than THAT ONE, it's not fair. It's not fair that OP that THAT ONE, and not some other nanny!" I mean, they're literally wanting to hire her, so why not hire a nanny who WANTS the job?! What is this "fair" that they think is going to happen?!

What an awful family!

The second story. The "keeping her nanny to herself" part was bad. But it just got worse and worse with each sentence.

The SIL's insane jealously, the MIL's stupid plan to placate the SIL, the BIL's sexual harassment and possibly assault... both OP and her husband have reasons to slap the SIL and MIL, and stab the BIL.

Those A-Holes need to be cut out of OP's life and more importantly Willow's life immediately.

Story one - OP was sent to stay with realtives at weekends so her parents could have time off, therefore she should do this for middle sister. I wonder if the Aunt who is backing OP, was the weekend baby-sitter? If so, and she did it willingly, did she later wish for free weekends but feel oblidged to carry on? 21 yr old sounds very immature - and goes crying to Mommy. Mommy dearest should do the weekends for her spoilt princess. Any family members who think young parents deserve the weekends off - should volunteer to baby-sit - not coerce others to do it.

I wish the blatant racism from OP's in-laws was addressed a bit more in the last story. I hope OP's husband cuts them off entirely, rather than simply no longer spending summers with them. Also, OP's husband was a minor a-hole for even suggesting OP ask her well-known childfree, doesn't like any kids but OP's, friend to watch his sister's kids. How did he think that was going to go?

Last Story - Willow is an amazing lady and OP really is blessed to have such a sainted friend, wishing you the best for your next asshole-free vacation together 😊😊😊

I replayed Willow's story. On the 3rd replay, it hit me on OP's emphasis that "ALL" the male had harrrassed or hit on her. I sat here imagining all the male cousins, uncles, etc had hit on her.

Story 2: As I was listening and around the time I heard the "she even cooks" comment I started to wonder if Willow was black as this (the nanny assumptions+blatant harassment) feels a little familiar and would make a bit more sense. It's really sad that I've become able to recognise these types of situations instinctively, that I'm able to hear a story about snide nanny comments being thrown at a woman and harassment and just feel that she's a black woman and be right. It really hurts different knowing that we've worked so hard to shake stereotypes and change how people see us and wjat they assume about us but situations like this are still not unordinary

6:59 I just realized something. If OP never got the camera, the baby would have been left outside. The baby would have died due to the sister's negligence and they would've tried to blame OP.

Story 1 no Op didn't have her turn to be young. Since she spent her childhood looking after her younger sister. They have no idea.
