I never found this song scary, but something about it, when I was in the safe room, didn't exactly bring me a sense of comfort. Just fear of going back out.

This theme is what a RE safe room is all about. It's not "scary" but it doesn't make you feel any better. You have to go back out eventually and this music is like Leon/Claire stealing themselves for it.

This track hits hardest when you're new to the game and are struggling to manage your herbs, ammo, are getting grabbed by zombies all the time and don't really know where you're going. Its like "You're ok for the moment, but you cant stay here, you gotta go back out into that, sucks to be you" and so the music doesn't really offer comfort, more like dread lol

Resident evil 2 on the original ps1 has by far the best soundtrack followed by a close second resident evil 1 which has really scary one, all the rest are behind.
