Crowns held over the bride and groom are a normal part of an Orthodox wedding.

1:42 its really interesting to see Russian soldiers in Soviet-styled uniforms saluting members of the Romanov family.

Pretty ignorant to comment on the floating crowns without knowing it’s a standard feature of orthodox weddings.

But let us never forget what happened to the last czar and czarina. Never forget them or their children. They will forever be the true Russian Royals in my heart.

If I were the groom I wouldn’t be going on any helicopter trips or sampling any gifts of exotic tea …..

Я русская и живу в России. И вам ответственно заявляю : это клоуны, которые не имеют к Романовым отношение. Это просто смешно. Он не Романов, он Гогенцоллерн. Этот брак морганатический.

Russia basically laughing in their faces. Don’t think this guy’s claim to the Russian throne isn’t highly contested. Power went through the male line only according to royal house laws. His claim is through his mother. His father is a German “prince.” The other Romanov pretender *is* through the male line.

A wedding that represents resistance against one of the many evils done in a dark period. It must be celebrated.

A historic part of Russian history, I think that Russia should celebrate their royal family, and could even market it similar to the United Kingdoms.

Dismissing the history for a second, I sometimes think what if the Tsars were still there as head of state of Russia. Just imagine the pomp and ceremony these weddings would have been at St.Petersburg, i can imagine it being more grand than the English. I would've personally visited to see such a royal wedding 🙌✨

I’m Russian, I live in Russia, and only now I found out about this “great” event 😂
oh, guys, I don’t even know the face of this guy, whom you call the heir to the Russian crown, damn, I saw him for the first time, and honestly, it’s me doesn't care at all.
I’ll tell you this - for the Russians, the last Russian Tsar was Nicholas II, and his young son-heir, and that was the end. After their death, this whole monarchical theme ended in Russia.
