Google Drive – Multiple people can work on same document at same time

With the help of online Document collaboration on Google drive, Multiple people can work on the same document or spread sheet or same Google slide. It is so much useful for teams working on same project, like schools, education institutions or any one who has a need to work together with some on same document.

There are two ways documents can be shared – Through link or share document on drive. Each sharing type has settings on editing rights.

While working on the same document, users can do group chat, put a comment against a particular text.

Owner of the document can give edit, comment or only view rights to the people with whom document is shared.

I am trying to set up a Google Doc to share among 13 students in my class. I want them to work on it simultaneously. We are having problems---the Apple Devices cannot see the live editing. They have to refresh their screen to see changes. Does this only work on android devices, or is the setting wrong with the iOS devices?

I made a google doc file.. I want to give view permission on unlimited people.. That means anyone who have the link can view this google doc file..
But every time I give View permission, and when I copy link, there is a edit link only... Please help and oblige..
I don't know who is viewing the file, means I have not mail ID of users..
