We just adopted our first Chihuahua. She’s only about 4 months old. Granted we’ve only had her for 3 days, but she is the sweetest biggest cuddle bug ever! In spite of what she’s been through in her short life (attacked by pit bull and had her eye removed), she’s so cute and follows our other two dogs around. When she fully recovers we plan to take her places and socialize her. I hope she stays the way she is now. I already love her so much!

I love my Chihuahua! She’s very friendly with humans, not as much with other pets. I noticed now we didn’t take her out to dog parks when she was young. However she’s great with people, she even sits in the lap of visitors. I guess we did something right! Definitely she was raised with a big family and we were strict with food and boundaries.

i love this breed it just needs love and to be treated like part of the family my dog loves being around me and i always introduce her to new dogs and people she lets me know right away she is not feeling bigger dogs so i watch her around them she is 4 months old perfect dog for so many reasons and super smart as a puppy she got my heart and cant wait to spoil both of my dogs my Chihuahua is already a social butterfly so cute

My chi was nice from the start. A very friendly rescue who is only a bit apprehensive to being picked up or having her ears cleaned by strangers (nails sometimes too)

She doesn’t ever bark except for an occasional one here and there.

I’m thinking of getting another at some point this is helpful.

My Chihuahua has always been nice and loves everybody!

Due to fears of contracting parvo, my vet told me to keep my Chiweenie puppies away from all other dogs during vaccination periods, and allow them outside only in areas protected from the ground, which could also give them parvo. The vaccinations were not complete for several weeks or more, I can't remember exactly. By the time they were exposed to other dogs they were afraid and aggressive towards them. This has been very hard to change; I'm not sure I can do it because it annoys others when my dogs bark aggressively at their dogs. Another method is needed to ensure their safety during vaccination periods while still allowing the all-necessary socialization to occur.

My Chihuahua is really friendly to other dogs, and people. He loves babies!! He gets so annoyed by his pitbull girlfriend because she barks at noises outside all the time. He looks at her like woman chill! Quit making all that racket!! He's my service dog and we have traveled all over the country. He's been on boats, trains, busses and airplanes. He saved me from a stray dog that was going after me. He ended up losing an eye by the stray but was still talking crap with his eye hanging on the side of his face. Our old mama dog pittie finally came busting out of the house and chased it off. Never knew where the bad dog went or lives.
